I have your latest version of TrackerV3 now, and when I search Drive C for wav sound files and I move one of them from the returned results to a new folder, the auto refresh still happens. After searching the forum, the Help files and the wiki, Ive got a question about Suspend Auto-Refresh. Is it perhaps possible to have TrackerV3 *not* do an automatic re-search every time I move a file from the returned results.when I am searching all of Drive C, or folders with subfolders, etc? View Menu (24 shortcuts) Refresh List: update the current list data, but keep any selections and scroll position. To have TrackerV3 re-search each time I move a file from the returned results takes a bit longer than I'd like it to. I will often search all of Drive C for soundfiles that are scattered throughout various locations on my Hard Drive. And when searching within one folder TrackerV3 is so fast, even when it does do auto refresh, that auto refresh is not a problem. If this is the case, the new "smooth refresh" does not actually help me much because I usually use TrackerV3 to search multiple folders. That's why I suggested that the bold print in the wiki should be "The auto-refresh will be reactivated as soon as you change location"."Smooth Refresh does not work when multiple folders were given as search location",Äoes this mean "smooth refresh" will only work when I am searching within one folder only? Looking at the code I cannot see why this should not work. Instantly desactivate any auto-refreshing for the current location temporarily, without affecting any (Auto-Refresh) settings. The Suspend Auto-Refresh button goes back to normal after the deletion just by itself, and while the copy is still running. So the only real benefit that I can see to Suspend Auto-Refresh is that it is automatically disabled when you change locations. Well, thanks for the detailed report, but this does not happen here. ![]() Changing location turns Auto-Refresh back on without having to use the menu, a button or the Configuration setting.Ä«ut turning Auto-Refresh on/off via the View menu or a toolbar button only checks/unchecks the global AR setting in the Configuration file it doesn't change the selected/deselected state of the 2 sub-options (in network locations and no refresh during file operations). 16:22:41,096 2172 DEBUG - Pending Windows Auto Update Checked. Suspend Auto-Refresh temporarily disables Auto-Refresh, but the Configuration settings aren't changed. the View menu to turn off Auto-Refresh also disables it in the Configuration file. Self Update - Finally XYplorer can update itself. It seems to me that XYplorer goes back and forth on this auto-refreshing of the List. ![]() Turning off Auto-Refresh is subtly different than Suspend Auto-Refresh. For example: Extracting files using WinRAR into a location (the files don't appear in the List until I manually refresh), or uploading changed files to a folder in OneDrive (the overlays in the List don't update until I manually refresh). ![]()
